I Absolutely Hated Makeup-Removing Wipes–Until I Tried These
If you read my story about swapping out my favorite cleanser for makeup-removing wipes and how it was terrible, then you know that said wipes have been permanently evicted from my beauty arsenal. As lazy as I may be when it comes to washing up before bedtime, that particular experience (and every experience prior) has caused me to swear off those breakout-inducing cotton cloths for good, even during the groggiest, most wine-induced nights.
That is, until I discovered Ogee’s Daily Facial Cleansing Cloths ($20). Ogee is a new player in the skincare space that focuses on organic, clean beauty with a luxurious feel. No parabens, no GMOs, no synthetic fragrances—just effective and skin-loving products that won’t wreak havoc on your precious complexion.
Hearing all of those awesome tidbits about the brand made me so psyched to try the wipes, especially since my main gripe with makeup-removing wipes is that they sting, tingle, dry my skin out, and cause blemishes. I truly feel masochistic using them. However, an organic face wipe sans alcohol sounded like a dream, and I needed to try them stat.
The first night of using the wipes, I winced a bit, habitually expecting the wipe to sting, but instead, it had a super-soft feel with a light, pleasant fragrance, and it took off all of my makeup. I noticed afterward that my skin had a nice glow, which I attributed to the aloe, jojoba, and oat extract. The next morning? Same thing: clean, soft, glowing skin. And the best part? Not a single breakout.
Thinking these had to be too good to be true, I tried the wipes again the next night, but much to my pleasant surprise, again, my skin looked and felt great.
Now, I can’t say I’ve sworn off cleanser again, but I feel great knowing that when I’m not in the mood to suds up, I can finally use a wipe without any adverse effects. I’m sold.
